Wall of Flame

During early spring, all across Australia, rural property owners receive a 'Bush Fire Order' from their local government. The 'Bush Fire Order' details the property owner's legal obligations to reduce the risk and impact of bush fires. Lighting the 'Burn Pile' is a n annual tradition for my neighbours and me. These photos show, from close up, how intense even a small fire can be, once it starts burning. The radiant heat can even set fire to near by vegetation.
